Pastor Maria, I have really enjoyed visiting your website. I have sent an email to the address on your home page re: a convention in 2012 in South Texas. I am hoping to hear from your office soon. I love your blog! As I read it, I find it to be timely for the Church and quite relevant. The Lord is faithful in hard times as He is at all times, but how refreshing to read such a "Word Centered" blog! As a Pastor's Wife, I find it is during the "hard times" that we get to really walk through life with our church members. It is in these times His faithfulness, His Love, and His Power cease to amaze me! Blessings to you!

It is interesting that when God wants to refresh me when the enemy's continued attacks have made me lose sight of the true nature of my own personal battles, how he can get the message through to me through a story I have heard so often, that I come to this story of David and Goliath sure there is nothing new there for me to get.

But God is so great, he can take the well known Biblical tales, the ones that Satan perhaps is confident I would close my self to, skimp over, certain there was nothing new there for me, and tired of it as the enemy hoped, and give me the clear message I have lost sight that my overwhelming personal battles, the ones that are impossible for me to overcome, aren't mine to fight as, just as I know already, I will lose them, and am losing them despite all my gargantuan efforts. But instead to remember to keep the faith God will defeat my impossible battles, which have always been his to fight.

I had so long dismissed the value of that David and Goliath story for me, that I had forgotten that angle of the story you have blogged about and by your so doing, throwing out to the world wide web to someone like me in serious threat of losing the struggle to stay above water from the overwhelming attacks by the enemy, the Good News as a life preserver to me and others like me who have lost sight of what really is going on in the weariness of the fight, others like me who are on the brink of going under from all the turbulent assaults, to remember to cling hopefully to God's faithfulness with all our might with renewed energy, that it never has been our fight, and we originally knew it wasn't, but have become battle weary and lost sight of what we still know for certain, but forgot to keep it in front of our eyes, and stop letting the enemy wear us down, but instead, let go of trying to overcome ourselves the impossible, give the battle back to God whom it always was from the get go. Hallelujah!
